Spence - isn't the Dartford half hilly ? Braver than me !
M..eldy - struggle is my middle name !
Spent yesterday clearing out my Late Aunt's house while the estate agent's had it open for an 'Open House', with 16 appointments viewing. Hopefully it will worthwhile and someone will see the potential and make an offer. All this executor stuff is doing my head in !
Slowly building up - managed 4 miles at 10:20 pace. Still a lot to do but plenty of time (hopefully) to get it right before July.
I have only been in this thread for the last couple of weeks and have not been able to log in for the last few days, so forgive me for being a little out of touch with everybody. It does seem that some of the posters are having some tough times, so to all of you out there, keep your chin up and try to be positive and I hope everything works out well for you.
Didn't go for my planned run on friday and saturday because of pollution and hay fever (well that's my excuse anyway) ! So I went for a 3 mile run this morning, through my local park and up around the lakes in the adjourning country park - beautiful day and scenery. Got a lot to do if I am going to make my 10K target in July.
I promise to start reading back through the posts and start asking questions on everyone's well being, just a bit lazy at the moment .
Linda - welcome, I too am new and have only just come on board in the past week.
I am currently the executor on my late aunt's will and have been going through left belongings. I found some old photos which included me at about 6/7 years old, sitting down holding a monkey. I put it as my facebook profile picture and received a mail from an old friend stating how often he has seen pictures of people from our generation (I am 54) holding monkeys and looking uncomfortable ! Sure enough I later received messages from other friends agreeing and posting their own pictures with monkeys. Probably good for the monkeys now that they are better looked after and not subjected to being dressed up and pimped out for pictures, but just shows how times have changed over the years.
Hi All, I will divulge information throughout the weeks to come ! 10 mm is a target that I would like to reach after 7+ years of running, but it is only a dream at the moment.
Anyone else suffering with this pollution crap at the moment. I dropped my wife off at work this morning and then did the shopping. By the time I got home I felt awful, and a bit chesty. Don't know if it's related to the widely reported pollution down here in the south east or the high pollen. Have had to postpone my scheduled morning short run as I just don't feel right. Hopefully I will be able to go out for a 2 mile plod this evening when everything might have settled down.
Put off my scheduled morning run, as feeling tired and a bit 'breathy' - not sure if it is because of the widely reported pollution down here in the south east or the high pollen count. Have decided to leave it until the evening to see if I feel in a better way to do a couple of miles.
Red - I see that you are having issues with the smog as well. Are you based near the coast , as our local news reported this morning that Hastings, Brighton and Eastbourne were likely to be the worst hit.
