Mr spoons, i couldn't see much through rain soaked glasses, looking out for the ruts in the path took up most of my time. I'll have to do it next year...

Thanks everyone, JCM that was a very good time and you were right about those hills, the one around 20 miles nearly finished me off but if I'd walked i knew it'd be so hard to start running again, they just kept on coming to after that. The jelly babies, a couple of gel packs and clear skies, well it stopped raining, kept me going.

Burning legs and blistered toes remind me how hard it was. Didn't get a chance to shower at the end i had to play "running" with the kids, a sort of warm down.

2 mile recovery slow jog tonight with the dog, rest and ice. maybe another glass of wine and cake. Trying not to look at the forthcoming events page for a least a week.

Hope everyone gets some good developments on their injuries very soon.

First marathon today, The great Clarendon way, very wet, muddy slippery and the hills...wow.

Started very slow in the rain then got totally into it finished in 3hrs 50min, did the 1st half in 1hr 50min, bigger hills in the second half so i'll live with that.

A good fun day. now time to repair my feet and get the peas out.

Mr spoons go for it, you've done enough training by the sounds of it.
