I am taking this opportunity(since I am going to be off line for the next 10 days) to wish you all well. Hope the marathon goes well, but more than anything have an awesome, fun weekend in my favorite city. I will be thinking of you all next weekend.
Natty - please feel free to delete me from the list completely.
My running days seem something of the distant path with not even a glimmer of reappearing anytime soon. I have to put up with no hip exercies so basically am doing swiming 3x per week with a pull buoy ( arms only). Last night I did 40 lengths 5 mins faster than I used to be able to do 32. A great imorovement, I feel, in 4 weeks.
Anyway moving along, since I am no longer a runner, will not be in Paris and due to some heavy heavy sh1t happenng in personal life I have decided to stop lurking here.
I still love you all. And Orbutt I want that hug next time I see you!
I am more than slightly jealous of everyones plans for next year. It is now 10 weeks since I ran, and it doesn't look like I will be back out there any time soon. This year was all about the big distance, and part of the journey to me completing a 100 miler mid next year. Now sadly all this has changed and my goals for next year have changed significantly. As much as this is boring you, I feel the need to share, so 1- is to get recovered properly, 2 - continue the body composition change ( I dn't much care what I weigh, just the figures to show less BF!) 3 - increase/ continue/improve swimming and cycling 4- once I do get back to running to smash my Half Mara PB. ( I ran my last half marathon in March 2012 in lead upto Paris, PB 1:43:08) . I feel these are all achievable although all require focus.
