if anyone is ineterested there is a free seminar at the London Marathon Store (Bishopsgate) tonight, from 6pm (actual start 6:30 I believe). Main focus is injury prevention/treatment, core etc., main speaker being Nick Critchley of HFS the new sponsors of the Assembly League.
Evenin', popping in for some advice ...... I'm planning to do a few few track races next year 3k/5k probably, in the meantime I am doing an XC race (one off) in 10 days time. I don't have any spikes and don't want to buy two pairs, but having never had any I don't know what the differences are.
Think I can buy XC spikes and just use 6mm spikes for track ..... but since likely to use the shoes more on the track, can I buy long distance track spikes and use longer spikes for the XC?
I'm doing an XC in a couple of weeks, since it could be wet thought I'd better get some cheap XC spikes, maybe ones I could use on track too. I don't normally do either XC or track, but hoping to do a couple of track races next year.
Any advice appreciated, but my main question is do you generally need to order a half-size larger than normal for spikes . . even if your usual brand of trainer ? (I wear Asics for training and racing and like the fit .... although racers half a size bigger by accident at first, but seem right).
