All of the above but mainly miserable runners (it's nearly always the ones with headphones on but that's another topic)
Well done Steve 1:46 is a pretty good time (about 20 mins better than my PB), if you can put the training in go for the big one next year.
Have to say it's hell (and I won't be doing another) but the sense of achievement at the end just can't be described.

I don't think I've ever felt that physically drained before in my life, think it was a bit mean making us run so close to the finish line before doing the 3 mile or so loop up to the park and back.
Mind you the steak & chips in Cafe de paris afterwards was really good

True it is a black ribbon rather than blue and it is a bit bigger. But as I say that really is a very minor gripe from a great weekend (apart from the 2 hours from mid day sunday !!!)
If anyone's looking at this page in future thinking about doing this event then I would recommend it, just save up before you go
