Ecky-yes I have done another Marathon- the one Chilli did last year the South Downs marathon.Well done to middle Ecky on the player of the season award.

Chilli- I don't do exercise classes as I am too uncordinated!!! Well done on your hilly 5 miler.

Managed to get my slightly achey and very slow legs out for 5.6 miles.Couldn't go any faster than 9.10 minute miles. Soon I need to focus on getting my speed back.

Terence I finshed in 5.05 as well!!! was with a group of people - one who had quite a nasty fall.

TMap- also saw you! I was the one who suggested you asked for a medal for the dog.

This was my 2nd marathon after Brighton- we aimed for 5 hours so only just over. Much preferred it to Brighton. The scenary was staggering and the organisation was excellant.

Afternoon,

I really enjoyed my 2nd martahon on the South Downs. Very different experience running with 5 other people from my club, no presure re times, beuatiful scenery and very very hilly. We walked up the hills (as did all but the top top runners!!),made the 26.2 miles more mageable. We even stoppped a couple of times for some scenic photgrhaps!! We had to stop for 10 minues as one of the ladies took a nasty tumble and cut her arms and legs. Finshed in about 5.05. really like the ideas of trail marathons, running witrh a group of people and not getting het up about times.

I will of course do some more raod races however!!!
