DLR - the main company round here doing solar panels is called A Shade Greener. They install the panels FOC in return for you 'renting' them your 'airspace' for a peppercorn rent. You get the electricity to power your needs during daylight hours (assuming there is sunlight!) they get the return from selling the excess electricity generated back to the national grid. Costs me nowt and cuts my bills. The alternative is to pay for the installation yourself in which case you get the sale proceeds from pushing power back on to the grid and the benefit of reduced bills...
I think there's definitely a love affair in the making for me and the Paris marathon. I'll just have to go back next year for that tricky third date...
Thank you all for your company in Corcoran's... Wonderful company after a wonderful day... it was a real pleasure to see the camaraderie between you all...
I've not checked in here often in the past but I'll try to do now but for now, before I get too serious, is that tattoo on LR's arm for real...?
Never imagined for one minute I'd think of this as anything more than just one more race but I am happily ensconced in my hotel with a big smile on my face... true to my name I've turned up at the at the last minute wondering if there was still a forum... I met a few of you last year and wish everyone on the boards a very happy and smile filled run Sunday... Take care all...
@Mary – believe me I’d struggle to forget the conversations we had Sunday at Corcoran’s… I'll never be able to watch Smokey and the Bandit again without thinking of Paris! that's not a sentence you hear too often.... And now I have a name to put to a face for Allison too, so to speak – give her my regards! Oh… and thanks for volunteering as tour guide JChicago is heavily pencilled in for me for Autumn 2013… Paris again in the Spring following Berlin this September…. Come tomorrow night (and following the impending-though-not-totally-unanticipated NYC ballot rejection I’m expecting to get home to) I’ll be putting in for a birthday trot around Amsterdam too!
