I did it last year when it was the "Help for Heroes 10K" but good to see it's return after its inaugral staging in 2010. The race itself could'nt be easier as its flat and very fast. I also found it quite sheltered too, most runs on disused airfields can be quite windy but the circuit isn't as exposed as you might think, plus there's plenty to look at with burnt out cars, lorries and even aeroplanes littered all over the course!!! Nice touch too with the organised warm up with some damn fine fitness ladies! Obviously students at the fire college, most of the marshalls were cadets too. It was very well organised and I can wholeheartedly recommend it. Newbies are made most welcome as the fun runners and walkers set off with the main runners too, only they do one lap as opposed to the 2.
Hullo! Will be attempting this race on Sunday, first one of 2007 for me so looking forward to it. Am quite near to the venue but have never entered before. Anyone got any info on the course?
