Im counting down the days until this one, should be a good event. I'm one of the seemingly large number of questionably sane people doing this as #12 of 12 in 2012 and so it should be a really good atmosphere!

I might have come to the party a bit late but does anyone know of somewhere reasonably priced to stay the night before?

If you email the organisers, there is a reserve list running which you can be put on. I was hoping to run this as marathon #9 of 12 that I am doing for charity, but unfortunately left it too late to enter.

The organisers take a few days to come back to you, but appear very friendly and willing to help.

Hey everyone, thanks for the words of welcome!

Am from dorset and have currently run 4 of 12, with the 5th next week in orpington. Ran the first 2 in cheltenham, the third in cambridge, and 4th was London. All fairly tame so far, the first two had ~1700ft elevation and were good events overall, cambridge was a nightmare and by far the worst experience of my running career as the weather conditions were abissmal, and London was just such an experience that I don't think i'll ever forget it

the rest of the year looks like this for me:

May: Orpington Mara'fun 12.05.2012 (confirmed)

June:South Downs Marathon 09.06.2012 (confirmed)

July:Cheltenham Circular Challenge 24.06.2012 OR Littledown Marathon 17.06.2012 OR Boddington 01.07.2012

August:Salisbury 5-4-3-2-1 12.08.2012 (tbc)

September:New Forest Marathon 23.09.2012 (tbc)

October: Clarendon 7.10.2012 (tbc)

November: A20 Path n Downs Marathon 18.11.2012 (tbc)

December: Porstmouth Coastal Marathon 23.12.2012 (tbc)

If any of you happen to be doing any of the same races, come and say Hi!
