hi cliff, i would say it depends on what u'r training for; if u'r training for a 10k a long run would maybe around 8 miles however if u'r training for a marathon i would suggest maybe 22-24 miles for a long run. i tend to just go do what i feel like on my sunday long runs: it doesnt need to be the same week in week out either. maybe try the runnersworld training plan or i currently use the advanced marathoners book for a training plan when i have a spacific race coming up. hope this helps
hi lucy, we stayed at the hotel indigo last year, its a 3 minute walk from the finish line and about 2 minutes to catch the tube to the start line in the morning. my wife and i will prob try and stay there again this year. there is plenty about though, any would do as they're all relativly close together
hiya, i done this last year and doing it again this year : the only real hill i can remember is coming out the tunnel, was an amazing experiance thou as theres a band playing the drums at the exit(sure hope its there again this year) and 1 short 1 around 15 miles. dont let that fool u thou cause i wouldnt say any of the second half is flat - just not hilly. overall i would say this is 1 of my all time fav's
