I had PF in my right foot before TR24 this year. I had physio twice on it and was really strict on doing the ball (or can!) rolling on the ball of my foot. I did hardly any running (and what I did was on trail only) and swam and did cross training instead.
The physio helped hugely (although it made it a lot more sore for about 4-5 days afterwards) and I did fine in the races and (touch wood!) the PF seems to have gone although I'm restricting running on roads until I'm 100% sure!
I did my first triathlon at kimbolton 3 weeks ago and wore a swimsuit with ordinary shorts over the top and a sports bra underneath. Worked fine and didn't cause any problems or chafing. Used baggier shorts rather than capris and a lightweight bra. Didn't seem to slow me down not having a trisuit althought the running swimsuit pics were awful as expected
