Glad your calf is feeling better Malcs! Now stop playing with it! Didn't your Mother tell you that picking and poking at things makes them worse!!
So impressed with your running so far! You are doing brilliantly .... now I just need you to promise you won't beat my Paris time last year and we'll stay friends
Had a funny session at club last night but it was a good one:
4 x 1 mile reps at 7 min/miles with a min recovery, then 2 x 1 km reps at 6:15, then 4 x 200m reps at sub-6. Felt brilliant afterwards and really enjoyed it! Am loving running with a club and training with other people
And more successful than mine! I was running my reps in the dark this evening with my head torch and the batteries conked out after 2nd rep! Couldn't see anything so thought I'd better not risk it so ran home and finished them off on the treadmill. Not the same, is it?
I always end up with a KFC after the 24hr races and marathons. I won't normally touch it but is the only thing that appeals afterwards … and I always feel as though I've earned a bit of crappy food!!
Yep Steve - (as usual!) you're right. Better to nail a cracking sub 3:30 time, Malcs than go all out and end up kicking yourself for doing first half too hard. You'll def do a brilliant sub 3:20 soon so why not just have a PB for the next TWO marathons!!
Yes I guess so … I just took it week-by-week … the time flew by! Sounds as though you're running brilliantly and so nice to have so many there! Am highly envious of Angela's new Garmin too. May have to push her in the hedge and attempt to pry it off her wrist while she's distracted …
Yep am back into marathon training - back on it from last week. First few sessions last week felt a bit more tiring than usual but feeling good again now and seem to have picked up a bit of speed. And the marathon long runs don't seem quite so daunting for some reason …
Sorry to hear you're not running at the moment Steve. Sounds as though your training group are doing BRILLIANTLY though! 3 secs off WR? Wow!!
