Just wanted to know if anyone has, or has heard of any good treatments for chronic shin splints.
I have suffered with them in the past and as a result once the tell tale sensation began in my shins, the calf guards came out for runs, ice packs went into the freezer and regular calf streching was initiated.
Other than rest and eating fewer pies (I do like a good pie) is there anything that anyone knows of that may help (or at least cheer me up)?
I used to while away the miles through the countryside in rural Lincolnshie, which wilst a little flat and (dare I say) boring, was at least very peaceful. Have done some running in North Wales too which was much more interesting and very pretty
