Ah. Yeah. Now you mention it and if you'll imagine I'm looking quite sheepish for a moment, spending my warm up time scraping ice from the car might have had something to do with it. Thanks.
I refer you back to my previous wimp comment...
Still going to go with your plenty of rest advice though, cheers Jason!
Anyone found they've got a real throbbing ache around the knees after this morning's very cold Parkrun? I hadn't been out for two weeks and was wearing shorts so I'm guessing it's a combination of exposure and lack of practice. Hurt like hell for about an hour afterwards though.
I'm looking for a bit of advice. I've noticed lately that my lungs aren't able to keep up with my legs.
My legs aren't tiring over a 5K Parkrun anymore having trained up to the Great North Run this year but whilst they're definitely able to give me more I'm absolutely gasping when I get anywhere near a PB, currently 23:47. I get a bit lost with all the different types of training sessions so can anyone point me at the type of session I should be doing so that I'm not running out of puff so quick?
Has anyone been to this event before? I'm hoping to get along to the next one on 16th June but I'm looking at the practicalities. Any ideas where you park? There's a small car park near the start which looks like it'll fill up quickly, I'm just wondering if there are any other options folks are aware of.
