Just going to fill in the forms. I must be mad as I hate hills and this has one of my favourites. Did it last year for the first time and did a PB. By the end of the year had knock 12 minutes of the time! A great training run for any spring marathon as it feels like you have run anything from 15 to 20 miles depending how cold it is.
Glad to hear I will have company to complete in 2.20 to 2.30 It has to be better than 2.27 at Nottingham. I should warn you that my first 10 miler was at Eccup this year and that was another baking hot day, I seem to take the sun with me when I decide to race!! I'll keep an eye out for the numbers and be more than happy to plod round with you. See you Sunday have a good race.
Having felt like dying in the heat in the Nottingham Half (It Being my first half what a choice!!) I was in two minds about doing this, but what the heck I'll be there my number arrived this week so no turning back. I am a plodder but have decided to keep at it otherwise I will not get any faster. My time will be over 2 hours so the more plodders the better for me.
This will be my first ever race, only started running in March 2003 and still think I must be mad. Thanks for details of the route I'll try to include bits in my training. I just hope I manage to finish still breathing and not last.
