Thanks for the info jenn, the pain in my foot has cleared thats what made me wonder if its moved into that area of my leg due to carrying on running on it,i havent really had a long layoff since last may when i had shin splints and they were nasty hun,i ran for 10miles this morning at a slower pace of 8.30s and its feeling ok today so im just wondering if i have run through the worst of it now,and i do x train too and do core and body weights.
I completed my last half marathon of the year back in september and acheived my PB at a much faster pace, since that run i have have lost a toe nail, and had a horrible pain down the outer side of my foot and put up with the pain whilst running over the weeks and months, now thats cleared up and i now have a horrible deep Muscle pain in my leg muscle under my right knee,i have heard that i could have been caused by my injury in my foot,or is it a new injury ive picked up,it wears off after a couple of miles but after my run it really hurts, ive tried R I C E ibruprofen and streches?
Hi,im not sure what it could be,i do try to mix my runs up but running alone alot it is very hard to do,some runs are at full pace 7.10s then a slower recovery at 8s then other runs are inbetween them times.
Hello,i just wanted to know why my fitness level has dropped slightly as i have noticed my pace has dropped down to 20/30secs slower than normal around 8.20 mm,i have been told that its down to the colder weather and your muscles are working harder than normal! is this right?i have been running for 2yrs now my first and then last years winter didnt really matter as i was still burning alot of fat to loose alot of weight , i seem to be struggling when i have been doing hill work or a faster pace,am i getting paranoird or is it right what ive been told.
i think you need to be a size bigger in your trainers, and it depends on your mileage,if you are moving up to fast then you will be losing them, your increase in mileage should be 10% so if your extending your distance from 9miles then you only need to move to a 10 until you are comfortable then so on,also it could be upping your speed aswell, and also speed and mileage together, hope this helps.
