Things seem to be picking up after struggling in the earlier part of the month. Ran a 10km on Sunday with a friend who is faster than me (but recovering from illness) and got round in 56 minutes despite a heavy workload last week and partying till 5 Saturday morning... 8 hilly miles after work last night, Averaging 10 1/2 minute miles at quite a low HR. Off work tomorrow and planning a minimum of 12 miles off road. Got my mojo back and feel to be nicely fit.
After running with a friend and seeing how hard it pushed me I'm thinking of finally joining a running club to see how that brings me on
Oh. Right. I found the reviews. Onwards and upwards, eh?!
which weren't attached to the event for this year??
It's amazing how that sometimes happens when an event gets slated...
I didn't really enjoy this event at all last year, it wasn't just the water situation, it was the fact that the much talked about section in the olympic park was primarily just doglegs on service roads. And several of the mile markers were considerably misplaced. Also the organisers twitter feed is full sof self-congratulatory self publicising crap but they never repond to questions/criticism
In fairness the atmosphere was fantastic and the people of hackney really supported it.
The same people are organising the North london half and if that gets decent reviews I may do this again, the course certainly has potential
Robert: TK Maxx seem to have some cheap and half decent foam rollers at the moment
I seem to be moving forward. Decent runs last weekend (7 1/2 and 6 miles), weights and treadmill Wednesday, and 7 miles last night. Plan is for around 12 miles tomorrow, if I do anything on Sunday it will just be an hour on the bike.
Entered a 10km in London next weekend which is basically nothing more than an excuse to go for lunch afterwards!
