I still can't walk properly. Last year I was able to chase my son around the beach all day on the Monday.

Obviously the time off my legs with illness and injury played its part, but I'm still suprised how much agony I'm in. Mind you I was suffering with cramps badly from mile 18.

I can't wait for next year, I wish it were sooner.

Of course I'll be back for 2014. It'll be my third Brighton marathon.

Had a terrible year running wise so will be looking to get back on track for next year.

Bit gutted its a week ahead of the previous years, purely based on our ever changing (for the worse) weather system.

Must say I also noticed the crowd more this year and they were absolutely fantastic. Choked me up at times. I love the last leg along the front.

Brilliant, thanks if you were one of those people

Well done everyone! You must all be super pleased with some brilliant PBs.  So glad the sun came out!

I had to pull out at 14 miles, pain just got too much and I didn't want to ruin my chances completely of doing a PB this year.

How did you get on, SDR Gaz?

Sorry to see you had to pull out, but at least you can recover properly now.

I struggled this time. I came in at 4:21 but wasn't surprised.

I changed my goal to 3:40 from 3:30 this year and was bang on target until mile 14. My calf held up but just after half way I felt a twinge and lost confidence in it. From then on I suffered with horendous cramping, everywhere. Obviously my legs telling me that I hadn't managed to get enough training miles in this year. There's always next year.

A huge well done to everyone, especially those who PB'd.

I saw the young lad in a bad way, and now the news from Boston. Puts everything into perspective. Regardless of times, we're all here to run again.

I am 8348 and in pink.

Will heed your advice, and I am also having 2 sports massages between now and Sunday!

Sort of hopeful, sort of not... unsure really how to feel!

I'm the same, I can feel my calf twinge every now and then, and then theres the lack of running.

What will be, will be.
