I don't really have an exact runner's build as I'm really a cyclist who dabbles with running but who is looking to get into the latter a bit more. At 5'11" and 10 stone 4 lbs (on the morning of my HM last w/e) I wouldn't want to be much lighter.
After finally sorting out my long term hamstring injury I was able to string together 3-4 months of good winter training. Result was 3.5mins off my HM PB at the Hillingdon on Sunday (clocked 1:29). I run in Brooks GTS Adrenaline shoes. Looking at photos of the people who beat me, most seem to be wearing more racey shoes. I just wondered if as one gets better/faster at running is it highly likely I'll transition to such shoes? I feel like I'm giving up a slight advantage before I've even started.
