It is Becoming increasingly difficult not to buy from amazon USA. Even with post and import tax, there are still great savings to be made. Things will only get worse if we leave Europe and have to pay tax on imports from the continent. I'm embarrassed to say I bought some stuff in sporrtssdirect yesterday and it was competitive but not cheap. I only went in there as no where else local sells the size 12-15 footy socks I like for running(non krappimor).
No need to worry about that, we buy more from them than they do from us, they're hardly going to want to spark off a tariff war.
I'm only in favour because I'm sick of hearing about it, let them have it, its pretty drab, they eat shit food, talk weird and wear kilts, its full of midges, the roads are crap and there is no Loch Ness monster, why would we want to keep them? just to bury them all early at the state's expense with their arteries clogged up by fat, and their faces red and bloated by fried mars bars.
To be honest I don't think their roads can be much worse than ours.
The Scots seem pretty hopeless about arranging their independence, frankly.
When we say they won't be able to keep the pound, we get called "bullies". How absurd is that?
If they want to be independent, they should have their own independent currency. Surely that's obvious?
They haven't sorted out whether they are going to be in the EU or not after independence either. If they don't sort that out, Scots won't know if they will have any right to be in the rest of the EU or not after independence.
If they join the EU, and particularly the Eurozone, then the independence they voted for will immediately be lost. Very much looking forward to seeing the Troika descend upon Edinburgh and creaming off the top of people's bank accounts as in Cyprus. If they renege on their share of UK debt and consequently struggle to borrow from the market this is a distinct possibility.
