Dobster I am totally with you re intervals ... Got to do them as have spent some lovely morning runs w new local club this past week and want to get my pace up so I can do more with them - most are faster than me. First parkrun Sat, 28 min, lovely sunny cycle there and back. Long run this morning at 7. New route, got lost, now exhausted and my turn to cook...

Bit of a change in running for me as moved house and city last Friday and did my first club run on Sunday morning (9am not really SOC) - 6 miles, steady pace, good buzz. Early morning yog today but want to get some speed training in tomorrow if the rain holds off.

MC, I always want to throw up when I get those massages. Good luck with the forefoot landing, I'd love to learn how to swap from heel striking.

Afternoon, I managed only 3 miles at 6.45 today, the asthma got me  - combo of cold air and dust from packing boxes. But at least I was able to get out. Wishing a good day off to those non-SOCing today. Think that's me tomorrow due to house move, unless I can get inspired by all you genuine 6am or earlier SOC people and get up extra early! If you're running tomorrow hoping you all have crisp snow shallow enough to run in or some of the lovely sunshine that's just appeared here.

MC: no consolation but it was thinking of your knee that got me out of the house today - if you can get yourself swimming and are missing running, then what's a bit of wheezing.

Birkmyre: Best name in the world (I'm from the Toon). I'm only posting to get myself in the mood to run tomorrow as feeling bit tired in the legs and the weather's turgid here: slush, ice, mud...going to do 5 miles tomorrow tho, iv said it now.

3.5m tempo for me at 6.50 with lightly falling snow before heading back to greet removals people coming to pack up stuff for my house move on Fri. Made sure yak trax and trainers weren't packed as we're predicted ice and then more snow. Slushy and cloudy here so sunrise the only time it looks really picturesque - gd SOC motivator!
All best for turbo MC. Birkmyre I love the dog's name, laughed out loud and woke my partner (but it was 8am, he deserved it).
