cheers lads, you're prob right, whats the rush? getting a bit frustrated doing short runs. time is my problem. i can run 3 miles at a decent clip. next day i'm not stiff, i've no pains and my legs don't feel tired. think running around in work gave me good stamina in my legs. i'm on my feet at least 8 hours each day, fri + sat every week its 15 hours. my thinking was if i knew i could do 10 miles doing the 3 milers wouldn't feel pointless
i've only been running a few weeks after a few years away from excercise. i surf a bit and work alot. work 55 - 75 hour per week and im on my feet all day so i'd like to think i'm fairly fit. furthest i've done this year is 4.5 mile. i wanted to do a 5km times run so i pushed hard and did it in 27ish minutes but felt ok after 5km so kept running to 4.5 miles. stil had a bit in the tank after.
moral of the story is i want to try 10 miles. i think i can do it but i also think if i tried hard enough i'd be able to fly. any advice? don't do it? expect not to be able to walk for a day after? have a friend follow in a car so when i collapse he can bring me home?
think im more scared of what will happen in my life time. i don't want to see a world war or a nuclear war, i don't want to see the sea run out of fish, sea levels rise, africa get too hot to live there etc etc...
