Speaking as a running newbie, this sort of fiasco is why VLM referred to as The Marathon on threads on here - I for one would not be willing to enter an "unknown" marathon and risk this sort of mess. At least (for all the risks of not getting a place at all) entering the VLM doesn't expose entrants to this.

Can I ask, does anyone know what is UK Athletics (I assume one can't just print posters and 'organise' a marathon, where's the accreditation?) doing about this? I wouldn't organise a holiday without ABTA and/or ATOL. Enterring a marathon's a lot more commitment than a holiday...

I'm a 32JJ so I feel your pain!  The best one I found was an underwired sports bra that Bravissimo do called Inspire.  Since wearing this, I can run without even thinking about my chest!  I can recommend going to Bravissimo for a fitting if you're anywhere near any of their shops.

My wrists are fairly slim and I needed to swap the strap for the short soft fabric strap (included).  Its not the most comfortable watch I've ever worn and I wouldn't want to wear it all day every day because it does look chunky on me but it's comfy enough for running.
