Busy weekend added to a fairly busy week. Up to visit daughter in Manchester so K3 and I did South Manchester parkrun, which is about half a mile away from her house. It's the flattest parkrun I've done and after a couple of miles found myself wishing for a hill (only a small one, though). Anyway, finish time of 37:14, which will do for now.
I've had a friend visiting for a couple of days so the schedule, such as it is, has been forgotten. It was a sort-of post-bike-ride reunion. He's only been to Bris once before (apart from a school trip) and so we climbed Cabot Tower on Monday and looked at the mist, then yesterday went to see our friend near Wotton-u-Edge and climbed the hill behind hers to the Nibley monument, then in the evening I walked briskly from the centre to my (energetic) dance class then another mile uphill to the bus stop. Went to the spin class this morning and stopped after 20 minutes and went and lifted weights - my legs needed a rest!
Who was talking about stockpiling books? Someone locally was selling some bike spares after the death of his brother. The house was a 2 rooms to each of four floors place - steep and narrow stairs. The stuff we saw, after he'd had a one-day sale would have stocked a small shop and he got rid of 30 bikes last year, including two tandems.
