Thanks for the responss @Andi McGill 2 There is a pretty big elevation differnece! Snowdon looks great but is booked up already! Loch Ness sounds quite fun! Best of luck with the training. I will have access to a gym, I currently focus on freeweights (bench, shoulder press e.t.c combined with quite a lot of core (including chins) Sounds like running 4 times a week is the way to go?! @Cougie Is it? I read up re: the FIRST marathon training and it seemed to think 3 times a week with 2 times a week cross train was a good way to go. I dont think Ill build much muscle training once a week! But I appreciate your point. I was wondering (hoping?!) that cross trainer provided a good cross over for legs for running? I do enjoy running... Ok. Maybe ill need to look at a different plan then if 3 x a week isn't running. Im very much into running and competitive so maybe Ill choose 6 x week. |
