Nice to see you're feeling better Toby.

Yvonne - well done on the weight loss.

Sal - enjoy dirty dancing ( a friend has seen it and said it was fab)

*waves* to every one else

my LSR at the weekend turned out to be shorter in time - ran a hilly route that usually takes 40 minutes (was short on time and supposed to be a 50 minute run) turns out I ran it in 33 minutes......., I thought I was taking it fairly steady.  Last night was the Sweatshop 5k time trial (although the route they use is a little longer) again ran steady and took 3 seconds of my best.  Really need to try and run slooooooowly this weekend as my LSR needs to be an hour long.

Yvonne the new cadburys bars are so yummy. My favourite is the one with space dust and jelly beans, had to properly tell myself off and not buy one today - think I'm getting addicted to them

Yes got to the run, daughter came along too so we had to do the 6k route as she has an a level maths exam tomorrow so needed to get home.   So we used the session as a tempo run instead.  We are hoping to do RFL 10k in under an hour so the speed work will come in handy.

Hoping to get to the Westminster mile run on the bank holiday weekend, bank funds allowing.  Did get some hopeful news about the car though one of the Thursday runners works for a car finance company so has said she will help us on what we need to do to get what we want from the finance company on the car and we should get re-imbursted all the money we paid including our deposit and part ex

Jay - if you have a smart phone there are loads if free apps that track your pace and tell you each mile how fast you are going. Or if you live near a sweatshop store if you sign up to their running community and run with them hair 50 weeks out if 52 they give you a free garmin along with other goodies along the way.

Hoping to be home in time tonight to go to the above sweatshop run its a 10k run tonight *gulp* haven't done one if them in a while.

Welcome Jay, you sound a bit like me about a year ago, only I was coming back from injury, did a 10k then did the Reading HM in march about the pace you are running now.

B&T - the cake comment made me chuckle

Mel - have a good walk on the ridgeway, used to go there a lot when I lived that way.

Hopefully the weather will be kind today have a 45 minute tempo run to do today, and there's a new park run starting near me with a couple of 'testing' hills (as a fellow runner has put it) so might have a go this weekend if I'm up early enough to get there
