Well done StewartC I knew you would PB!! Well on for the Marathon time you want with that!!
14 disastrous miles for me today my legs for some reason went at 12 miles and I felt really tired so called it quits. Really slow run as well and the wind didn't help as I was running against it but still poor as was hoping to do more.
Concerned with Reading HM next week and no long run this week!!
Thanks Teknik - The run was slower than MP and most of my scheduled runs have a mix of LRP, MP, Easy, and also Brisk. Usually a combination e.g. my 18 miles this coming Sunday is 9 miles LRP 3 (10.01) MP (9.09), 3 Easy (10.18), and ending 3 MP (9.09). I also agree with the 5 miles added if pacing my friend etc.
Thanks StuC - Good advise as ever - You are certainly eating up the mileage. If you are looking to run a PB then it would probably be best to cut back. What are you looking to run?
SM6 - I slowed massively at the 17.5 mile point. The schedule has been devised for me based upon being able to commit to running four times a week - twice with the club which involves coached sessions of speed work and 9 miles at 10k pace.
Teknik as the quote would state I would love sub four but based upon Sunday then perhaps 4.15 would be more realistic - Still have a slight niggle and when I ran 16 miles two weeks ago (prior to niggle) I was feeling so fresh.
