Im a regular marathon runner and want to do something a little more challenging thats quite cheap and have seen the great barrow challenge of 4 marathons in 4 days and wondered if anyone had done it and if so what is it like? as in are they hilly and is it a nice atmosphere?

I ran the exe to axe (exmouth to seaton coastal route) recently the hardest run ive ever done. im training for the edinburgh marathon too. Basically my question is how do peoples times compare from the exe to axe to a marathon?

I ran the exe to axe in 3 hours 22 which i was told was good but obviously a marathon is longer and ive never run that distance before

I signed up for the Gloucester marathon which got cancelled a few days before the race cause of the snow it was 30 quid to enter and they have said they are not giving any refunds, can they do this cause ive paid money for nothing surely i should be able to get my money back, the only thing they have said is that if i sign up to run it next year ill get a discount but ive already paid this year and have nothinjg to show for it.   Are all races like this?
