@Beth: That is sooooo frustrating! (Not to mention painful The best 2 things I can say up to this point is Don't blindly believe when they say "you'll never run again". When there is a will, there is a way! Secondly, definitely continue (persistently) with the docs. (Trust me, I totally feel your pain with the slow NHS thing, as I am a Yank LOL) Although medical care is not free back in the states, it isn't shuffled from one doc to the other typically. But it is very expensive, so for me it is a 50/50 : / |

I will ask about that - someone in my running group mentioned cortisone shots, I will do most anything as long as I can run lol |

The area of concern at the moment, is my knee... I also have pretty much everything you described lol . My solution was getting a tanning bed - as well as supplementing wih vitamins ( I know a lot of people out there are against tanning, and that's cool- but being from the US -I sort of miss the sun lol) |

Arrrrrrrrgg Surely I am not the first by a long way, so I am hoping to hear from those of you out there who have beat the odds. I have been told I can no longer run due to Osteoarthritis - Still in the process of determining the extent of the damage; however I would love to hear from runners who have continued running, or have modified their running. What obstacles have you faced etc... I am prepared to work on the treadmill (walk run or whatever it takes). Thank you |
