Really enjoyed the race (bar some stupid kid throwing the contents of a bottle of water over me after about three miles). Last few miles were hard as almost certainly went too quick ealy on but still got a PB. 3.27 quikcer than last year and a crucial 12 seconds under the 1.50 barrier. I must have put a lot of effort in as have never been so tired and achy after a race before!
Going to try and sleep soon. Thought I would be less nervous second time round but it seems not to be the case sadly. Good luck to everyone tomorrow, hope the weather isn't quite as terrible as forecast!
Looking cool is the last thing on my mind, tbh! Far more concerned with getting to the start in one piece and on time, getting my baggage correctly sorted and most importantly running a good race and enjoying the experience. Hoping the rain TOO heavy!
Park Run today, ran a PB of 21.43, 20 seconds quicker than previous best so well chuffed with that. Been doing mainly longer distance work for the Great North Run but must be fitter overall than when doing my last Park Run several months ago. 6.51 for first mile, then 7.04 and 7.03 before a bit quicker for the final bit.
