Just like to say a big thank you to the organisers, and all the volunteers too who braved the wind and rain for most of the day. And not to forget the many spectators who provided great support throughout. Quality. You helped make it a cracking marathon despite the rain. And on my seventh attempt I finally managed to avoid the wall and got a PB to boot - 3hrs 45:45 I think. I'm over the moon Here's to 2032! |

Agreed, it was a bit lower key than I was expecting. Nice quick collection though. Number 163. Good luck everyone. Have a good one. |

Bring it on! Can't be as bad as the Manchester marathon back in April - that was pretty wet & windy most the way round, wading through mud & water in many places. Still really enjoyed it though and it didn't deter the crowds either. |

Sorry to hear about the back injury VW. If the offer of the marathon place is still up for grabs I'd be glad to use it. After a couple of marathons earlier in the year I was planning on taking it a bit easier, but I've got the bug again and can't resist the chance to run in Preston. |
