Evenin' all !! Hope all Shadies are well. I see Khani's mixing it up again - he's a troublemaker and no mistake I've not done too much running of late, I've got a foot injury that I've no idea what caused it, but it's meant taking it easy, its been painful to even walk on for a couple of weeks. I've got the St Albans Half next weekend, but it may be a struggle - that and my Wife is cycling 100km on a midnight charity event on the Sat that means I should do the decent thing and look after the kids on Sunday and let her sleep - I think I'll try 9 miles or Sun late on the Sunday if the foot has improved. Good luck to those racing this weekend. Tim |

Morning Shadies - looks like everyone's getting out there and soem decent running.... I've been getting out a few times a week and feel like I'm ticking over, ahead of the St Albans Half in a few weeks time. Feels a bit flat since VLM (and the weather's awful) - but I've booked 3 HMs across the Summer to keep me focussed. Hope all are feeling good, Tim |

Well done to all - Mad Emmy, Big-G (4.08 is the best time ) - Shades - hope you heal soon. VR, FastKoala - nice work. I've been a bit lazy since the VLM, with just a few gentle runs, but have St Albans Half in 4 weeks or so, Thames Meander Half in August and Windsor Half in late Sep. So need to get back onto a plan asap. Shades - any sensible HM plans for the next four weeks? Or can I use part of your VLM plan ? |

Hello Shadies - I've been a bit lazy since the VLM and only done one run today of around 5 miles. Felt OK, but took it very easy. - Felt good to be out running again. A few days after the VLM I knew that not breaking 4 hours would drive me to do another Marathon so I've entered the VLM 2014 ballot, but the chances of getting a place this way are slim. So potentially looking at another Marathon in 2014, Chester looks interesting but that Krazy Khani bloke is doing Brighton which is more appealing - geographically at least. Not sure.. will everyone be staying over in Chester? Glad to read you're all out there running, albeit a few injuries need to get sorted too, Good luck Big-G. |

Yeh, yeh, woteva I'd hope to train smarter and better meaning that sub 4 is a strong possibility irrespective of terrain my thoughts are keep things improving slowly across the Summer, but I've got a lot of golf comps to play I've got St. Albans half next month and Windsor half in Sep already booked. Will add some 10ks in there too and aim for PBs across different distances ( did I say I was Target driven ) need to invest in some HR monitoring kit for the Garmin and make a 2014 plan. |
