I booked the race entry with Runninginspired and stayed in El Andalous. Our numbers arrived on Saturday evening as we were told and they showed us where the start was - virtually on our doorstep. Other members of our 21 strong group were with Escapades.fr, their numbers were delivered on Sunday morning as promised. Runninginspired provided yellow cotton tops and Escapades provided better techincal tops.
I'm sorry you have such a disappointing view of the event but your grievance seems to be more with Menara travel. Thankfully, despite the much lower numbers of competitors, we didn't get lost on the marathon course. Some of the traffic driving at us was a bit intimidating but all part of the fun of the culture. I soon learned they were unlikely to hit us... You haven't mentioned the worst of the sins - they ran out of medals at about 4 hours but were sorted again later. 2 of our team came home happy but medalless. We hade far more positives than negatives.
I have lots of photos of the finish area being dismantled and the ensuing chaos... but there was still plenty when I came in after 5 hours!
I just saw a lot of the culture differences as being all part of the fun/interest of the event.
If you go expecting something of London's level of organisation you would be unhappy. If you came in at about 4 hours and didn't get a medal you would be unhappy. But if you want something that is different and a bit of fun and don't mind the more laid back attitude of the culture, it was an OK event.. Though it was a rather expensive entry fee and no goody bag or event top - £50
None of our group of 21 runners disliked it, though 2 came home with out medals. But a good place for a few days off too
