FYI: I emailed New Balance and they recommended these:

"Thanks for writing. The replacement for the MR749EST is our M770v3, with more cushioning and stability. Here is a link to view the M770v3:"

http://www.newbalance.co.uk/New-Balance-770v3/M770-V3,en_GB,pd.html?dwvar_M770-V3_color=Grey_with_Green&start=1&q=770&prefn1=genderAndAgeGroupCombo&prefv1=Men&cgid=101100

In the meantime I went to a local shop and bought M670 wide trainers. I've worn them for a 5k, and a 10k and they seem to do the job - although I'm tempted to get these recommended by NB too!

Hi I've had these trainers for several years and I still use them for the occasional running race - they are great!! They are so comfortable - but no-one seems to sell them anymore. Can anyone recommend me a pair of shoes that will directly replace these?

Thanks in advance for your help.
