Hi Alison

I got myself in a similar state, and the trigon two was a good shoe for me too. I spent £300 on getting custom orthotics and bought a neutral shoe Nike Pegasus, which gave me back the problem. Went back to Podiatrist who pointed out I needed structured cushioning in a neutral shoe, and suggested New Balance 857, and its done the business. It took a bit of time but you dont need too much cushioning as it throws your gait out. The 857 comes in wide fitting and the orthotics fit geat. Really recommend them

good luck

Peter

I agree with namaste it could be down to your running gait. I had all the pain and tried to compensate for it. A good podiatrist will sort you out. It worked for me, If you need orthotics keep with them it will work out

Trying Hard well done so far. A lot of what you are doing is right but you do need to build up the miles in march and taper off in April. I think what would be great for you is to follow the scedule in Runners World it does cater for all sorts. and it does work. Another thing injury gets to us all dont let the fear of it put you off your goals. As the weather picks up and you body gets used to the extra miles you may get well into the more run less plod. Oh and dont forget your Diet RW is great for advice too. Good luck. I did it last year it will be worth it.
