If one of us can't keep the pace up I know that we would seperate as we are both very keen to get under 3h30mins and have both trained with that in mind. Thanks for all the advice so far. I might try to get in contact with FLM organisers and see what they say.

I disagree completely. I want to run with my mate because we both want to acheive the same thing, a time under 3h30mins. We have trained together a few times and found it helps focus are pace and helps us to push each other when the going gets tough. I think it is vital we run together!

I want to finish in under 3h30mins so don't know what is best to do really I guess we could met up at 5 miles whihc is what I did with a mate a couple of years ago, but then the blue start didn't seem to strict. Has it got all more security on it now?

Has anyone ever done the mighty deer stalker before?

I am using it as an alternative Marathon training running as thought it might be quite good instead of running for blumin' miles!!!

Whats it like what can I expect?
