Alehouse: "beat as many people as I can in anything I take part in". Rarely do I let people pass me! Probably because I set off nice and steady and run fairly even paced races. Thanks for the line, BR! Aiming for 80% WAVA over 5 or 10k. And if I don't get it I won't shed too many tears: just glad to be running. Would like to run 366 days this year (although nose op may force a re-think!) and at least 2016k,and preferably rather more. Top 100 in my age group rankings would be nice, and i hope to make a difference to the athletes that I advise. And to celebrate the successes on here, of course. Would love to join Hilly in the sub 20 club! Sale Sizzlers anyone? Should be on your list, OL!
AOH D33, Cape Wrath Challenge week, Dirty 30, Dales Trail 30, Snowdonia Mara and a few halves and parkruns. Would be nice to better my half PB (1:55:19 ) 1000 miles in 2016 2016 k in 2016 100 miles/month
BR - "beat as many people as I can in anything I take part in" (BR told me to put that) He likes to be competitive.
Chicksta: Hamburg (17 April) and Prague (8 May) marathons - as close to 3:30 as possible and hopefully a consistent performance in both races
Dibs - AAA triathlon March 19th (sprint)- stretch the legs and have fun. HIM Bussleton May 01- around 6 hours would be awesome, but as close to it as possible I'll accept. Under 2 hours official HM time (have not completed the distance in a while and is a mental ache). Hopefully be thinking of a full IM in the next year or two
Don wants to get under 38 mins in all four Polaroid 10K events this year
Emzap get back to a sub 25 min 5 km. Run 1678 km (I think that was Pammie's 20.16 miles a week)
Hilly - get back into marathon shape for April 3rd and do the best I can. Get back under 20 mins for 5k, back under 70 mins for 10 miles and enjoy new races.
RFJ - To start with a sub 90 half then down to 1:27:30, 67:30 for 10m and sub 40 and sub 20 for 10 and 5 k's
Welsh Poppy:Races; Llanelli Half,Cardiff Worlds Half,Swansea half,LV Half,Swansea 10k,Weston Super Mare half.I am just happy to run 5-6 days a week injury free but would love to get under 2 hours for a half again(current pb is 2.12)
Ref hand I have something called dupritons (sp) where the tendons bacially harden up and shorten, so my hand looks more like a cupped claw at present, not pretty, not really painful , but very stiff, awkward, and sometimes dificult to use. (I have had it for ages, but has really set in over the last 6 months or so and started to cause dicomfort
Race wise I have Eastleigh 10k (20/03), maidenhead 10m (25/03)and Soton Half (24/04) all on the agenda and possibly Salisbury 10m (13/03) as well but not yet confirmed.
2nd run of the day after the denist (gave him some marathon advice free... but didnt get a free check up.... ) 5m on an old route that I enjoy. 11.5m for the day.
