Wardi - That's always been my strategy too, but the bargains appear to be drying up. I just picked up 2 pairs of old Bostons at £60 each but no old Adios around and the cheapest of the new version are £85 down from £110 RRP!
Congrats to the leading ladies!
I have a shoe question. Is anybody running in anything that they'd consider to be reasonably priced at the moment?
The last few years I've been running in Adidas Adios and Bostons. Since the Boost versions came in prices seem to have rocketed. Previously I could pick up pairs for £55 to £65, now it's £80 to £100.
There's one retailer that I can still get non-Boost Bostons from but I expect they'll run out soon. I'm wondering if it's time for a different brand.
Thanks. It sounds good. I've run Helsby a number of times which isn't too far away and may look at Lake Vyrnwy Half as a build up race.
