What a joke, I have a time of 42:50. I have 41:15 on my watch. Are they factoring in the missing distance?
I am going to reserve judgement on whether to run an MCC race again based on how he responds to those that entered and were let down.
I think I can sum up the general feeling by the comments I got from the winner, Abdi. I mentioned (jokingly) that next time I'd grab hold of him and he could pull me round. "No you won't" he said, "I'm never ever running this again".
I enjoyed it too. Well done guys. Thankfully the rain held off for the 10K, and it was a good job because it started 10 minutes late !! If you were intending to do it again, I would up the number of signs (or marshalls), as I know there was some confusion at the top, and I for one nearly went the wrong way at the finish as I was pretty much all alone.
I too thought it might be a bit on the short side. 43:05 for a 10K like that is outstanding for me. Still, I will pretend for now, that I'm in the form of my life
I must say though, I do feel the entry fee for most 10K races these days is a few quid too high. However, the last time I checked, none of the organisers are turning up in Rolls Royces or wearing Rolex's, so I don't think they're skinning us too hard !
