For the first year of running, great support at start, check points, route very sceanic, missed the ice cream van which had been ordered, so I was told at the extra check point for the 40 milers, understood walkers had removed some tape but it was challening to navivate and the garmin map, printed on A3 , did obscure some of route. Not a lot of symphany with people who got lost and ran with out a map, but 4 miles from the finnish was in the woods and the path went in 3 directions, not a clue, luckly carried the compass. This does seem slightly at odd with Rogers statement which earlier which suggeted naviagtion was easy, it was not. at times we used map.instructions and progrmmed gamins, non of which worked on thier own.The path at Norton was first place notice people going astray . However as a first year it was a great start and something to build on. |

Never sure why partners dont understand running is like golf, a different pair of shoes is required for different routes/conditions, have Cassadia in reserve but equally not run this far in them or even been this far......just hoping the lack of hills = the extra 6 miles from the Long Tour of Bradwell, which is the longest event I have run |
