Sounds good to me Chris, it will make a change and be useful, I must admit I do have a wardrobe full from the last 15 years from running your great race. But if you think last year's Bracknell was wet you should have been at last week's Marlow - knee high floods.
So glad I rubbed vaseline around my feet before putting on the socks and did the laces up well. Definitely the wettest I've ever run and 6 mins slower than last but a great atmosphere as usual. I do miss the medal for my collection and wish there was a proper photographer to capture the drowned rats.
Wonder if we'll be allowed back at the school next year as their field was well trashed.
So, fifth time of running, why do I always forget that there is a reason this is my always my slowest Half of the year (1:49:15 this yr). I deluded myself this time by thinking running it 'backwards' would be easier..."once up the hill to Smith's lawn it's all flat or downhill". By the time I reached that bit, i had lost it. And I maintain that the 'Finish line' that you see from the Copper Horse is a mirage, as you run down it seems to get further away. No doubt I'll be back next year.
