I had a sub-total in Nov 10 (one ovary left so not on HRT) - fibroid was enormous and have a lovely scar running from from belly button downwards! Returned to running in Mar 11. Ran first marathon in Oct 11 (4 and 1/2 hrs). So chuffed!!! And yes, I would say that my speed and endurance have most definitely improved!!!
