A fab race, brilliantly organised, great marshalls (the young girl with jelly babies certainly gets a thumbs up!), fab medal and goodie bag - congrats on your 30th year Thanet AC. I'll be back, but please can you turn off the wind machine next year
Definately a good idea to join a running club - my last 10k was about 60 mins, and don't feel too slow for my running club. They split into several smaller groups and you can decide which group you want to run with so not everyone goes really fast all of the time. My club is really very friendly too, so also a great way to meet new, likeminded, people.
Thanks all for making my forthcoming 10k seem not so bad. In the adrenelin of finishing our first 5k in 27½ mins my friends and I quickly signed up for the 10k at Hatfield House in October.
Since then though training has become really tough - it just seems so much harder, but your words of advice and encouragment have made me feel a bit better and I really am determined to do it!!!
