I have now cover all the route the hill out of Aller was not as bad as expected although it will be a bit different on the day.The worst bit for me  was going along the top  to the finish the last few styles and slightly longer grass in one field.I decided to take in the views as much as possible because I know my nose will be to the ground next time.Great news the fields after Gawbridge are now cut can actually run this bit so it is only the maze field left now.

Busy Lizzy

I did the bit from Curry Rivel around and  cut back to Curry through Dyers Farm on my way home today from work. I managed to turn a 3.6 loop intp 4.5 miles I did not drop straight down to the track to Red Hill Farm after the monument tried a style in the corner of the field  which is very over grown and decided to go back up and through the woods to meet the track which I found after going off the route.Other wise not too bad got stung a bit by the nettles but not as bad as that Maze field.Going to do the Langport bit around to the finish and then back to Langport tomorrow. Then check out the fields from Gawbridge Mill back to Thorney and come back via the Parrett Trail route to Gawbridge on Wed depending how I get on with my map reading the day before.I do not think I am going to break any records on the day just hope I am not last!

Glad to hear that that the route will be clear I think the main issue was the maze field as somtimes that type of crop is not harvested till October. We are hoping to cover the last bits around Curry Rivel and from Langport soon especially looking forward to the last mile back up to the finish which I understand is quite tough.

I ran some of the route yesterday hope some of the crops are harvested before next month!! I found some of the fields after Gawbridge Mill to Thorney hard going and the maze and stinging nettles not much fun after the pumping station on the way back .Hope to go back and run the last 3 mls of the route  and the first 3mls into Langport sometime and a 2 mile loop from Curry Rivel to Wick which we did not do.There are quite a few hand gates and stiles on route to take in.The views are fantastic for a almost flat run

I made Exmoor over 29.I spoke to James the other day and he did say that the maps will probably not be posted on the web site. The only thing he did say that we would not be using the military tracks which are just past Kimeridge Bay,so we will have to wait and see!
