I know where you are coming from! Its horrid how shaken and silly you feel!
Then panic sets in....what have I done to myself!>?>?
I took a tumble this Saturday! It is one of the most scary experiences ever, with no one about to help me to my feet!
Towpaths are evil and the one along Richmond manages to knobble me all the time!
This time feels very different though, I have a mystery pain in right chest region!
I'm covered in bruises and grazes, but oddly I finished my long run in a reasonable time...I think I may have had some delayed shock because I suddenly started trembling violently after half an hour after I got in!
Its good to know that the pig-headedness and bloody-mindedness takes over, but I am slightly worried that some compensatory muscles might bugger everything up! 8 weeks into Marathon training and I don't really want to stop training, but I guess one should heed the advice from the experts...listen to your body and feel what it needs...I think a quick speed session might be ill advised, but maybe a short treadmill sess would be the best plan.
All the best with your recovery....stay away from towpaths!!
