Completely agree. Fab course apart from the last 2 miles. I hope this year's diversion was a one-off.

Helly, have a good run tomorrow. Hope to see you at the Winter Tanners

PH, thanks I feel better already!

I believe you run with Dave Lewis sometimes - you both finished a bit ahead of me at the A20 marathon that I enjoyed more than I expected and encouraged me to think I can get back under 4 yours on a flat marathon like Brighton next year.

Are you a member of the 100MC and do you also do LDWA events like the Winter Tanners?

After several months without any injuries whatever - even on the A20 marathon which is all on tarmac - went for a long run along the Downs Link and now both Achilles are sore. Partly my fault for not replacing my trail shoes and not appreciating an old railway line is hard underfoot - unlike the mud that is everywhere else off road!

Am seeing the chiro today, but if I am sensible - which is rare - I won't be running. Very frustrating, particularly at this time of year when I usually up the mileage.

Helly, depends what you have in mind! Must admit it's a good time to do an event, although I will shorten my usual long run on Boxing Day if I do it.
