I have other areas of my right side that are "wonky". I am definitely weaker on my right side and have a smaller pectoral muscle on that side. Apparently this is fairly common and is something I am working on evening out down the gym. If I do bench presses for example, my right side will tire before my left, which is frustrating. Only recently started doing gym work so i'm sure I can get it resolved in time.
Thanks for that guys. I have found a physiotherapy self assessment form that I can post off to my local NHS hospital. It will probably be a long wait to see someone, but I imagine a private physio would get quite expensive.
In the meantime I will work on some exercises focusing on strengthening the hips and see if that makes a difference.
Thanks Paul I have only just seen this post so sorry for the late reply. The site doesn't appear to be working so I will give it another go tomorrow. My knee seems ok at the moment, but it is an issue I would like to get my alignment sorted.
I have seen another article on RW that also suggests its hip related and advises exercise techniques involving a resistance band to strengthen the hips. That may be something to try too.
Surprised myself today with a half marathon training run in a PB of 1:49, which included a frustrating couple of minutes waiting at a particularly horrible and busy set of traffic lights, quite a lot of wind and a 200 foot climb in the last mile. I have stepped up my training in recent months and started to include some strength work in the gym so it must all be helping. Conwy half in a couple of weeks so I will probably bring my mileage down a little bit leading up to it.
