200 entrants!  Think we may have a few hills. The side of Catton Park we are on looked like it had a few hills on it when i went past a few weeks ago.

Flippers and snorkels sourced for our merry mob. Hoping to finish with good humour intact!

See you there!

Spoke with them last week. Over 200 had entered at that point, including 15 teams of 8 and 10 teams of 5.

Will be in the loft tonight looking for me snorkel!

I broke my British, European and World 5KM treadmill record on Wednesday night. Fell off the back of the 'mill' on 25:22 - two minutes quicker then previous. If I had been able to move I would have attempted a quick lap of honour of the near empty gym. Must have been all the Coke Zero I had drunk that day.....

As a comparison - to balance it up I am yet to break (despite many attempts)one hour for a 10k race. Maybe its the race nerves, initimidation by all the 'club' and serious runners, endurance problems, training, diet, lack of Coke zero or simply lining up with the wrong mindset - I dont know. Must try harder!

FR.

It looks like you would need flippers to run through some of that. If you think that you could handle the logistics of creating a 'new' event with minimal time and handling the needs of 1800+ runners and supporters then give Marie Curie a call. I am sure they would appreciate your insights.

Whilst appreciative of those who were using the event as part of their training for bigger and greater events - lets not forget however who we were running for. In the great scheme of things - lets keep it in perspective guys.

I'm looking forward to the re-arranged race in May. Well done Marie Curie for the emails and phone calls - must be a logistical nightmare. See you there in May at the back of the pack!

Mick N Phil,

Saw you come in after your first lap looking superb and only just got in ahead of you on your second, and my first....

Your an inspiration boys - fair play to you both. You looked fresher then I did after one loop! Total respect.

Happy running all! Tamworth next for me.....
