Loch Ness marathon is stunning, it really isn't as hilly as it sounds. Running along the loch, through villages. Just fabulous.  I personally didn't enjoy Brighton when i did it. Didn't like the out and back again loops and the power station bit was soul destroying, but i know a lot of people who did enjoy it.

But if you really want fun, i highly recommend the Disney marathon in Florida - just brilliant. Loved every step of it

Thanks all.

I don't think I am ill. I haven't run since Sunday and no signs of anything yet, if there is a cold or something trying to come out.

Not sure how long to take off running. Do I wait until my body just screams at me as says go for a run now!

Hi

I am a seasoned runner, I have completed a number of marathons and loads of half marathons. As well as taking part in 10k's.  I run about 4 times a week at various times of day. I am a member of a club.

But over the last few months, it has all gone wrong. My times have gone down hugely (20 mins on my half PB). I seem to get to 2 miles and just want to stop running and often just end up cutting my run short. I was at the front of my running group, now at the back struggling to keep up.

I am not ill or injured.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME??!!

I love running, why has it all gone wrong.

Can anyone offer any advice to get me out of this rutt?

Looking forward to your thoughts

M....eldy - I don't think the items were being sold - they were being given away, so the T&C don't count!

Arghhhhhhhh! I have been trying to register for the 2010 ballot since 9am this morning. Hitting the website every 15 mins or so. And still no joy.

Had a great day yesterday and really want to run again next year to make it 5 marathons in a row.

As a web developer myself I know how hard it can be to build a website of this sort, but on the other hand, they know how many people would be wanting to register as soon as the ballot opened, and they should have had it all tested and ready for this morning.

To open the registration early was unforgiveable. All notices and articles I read said 9am.

Just tried refreshing again, whilst righting this! Now I am getting really annoyed!!!!
