Merry Xmas, DR. Still check on here without really posting anything. You need to get on Facebook to find out what's happening with the Edi crew.
Have had a good running year racing wise, 9 halfs and 2 maras. And a good for age for London next year.
About to reach the age of retirement but only cutting down to 4 days from January. Would like to do something different over the next few months.Quite fancy cricket in South Africa towards the end of 2015 but notice England may be playing Pakistan in your part of the world in November which is obviously a bit closer.
Would be good to meet up over a non-alcoholic Guinness if that happens.
Did this in March and really enjoyed the Marathon and the city.
Stayed at the 08028 Apartments which is literally outside Les Corts Metro station. Which is just 2 stops from the station where the train comes in from the airport and 4 stops from the start/finish/expo. Would definitely recommend. Only downside that rooftop terrace wasn't open.
It was also 10 minutes walk from the Camp Nou and we managed to take in a game on the Sunday evening even if the steps up and more especially down weren't that easy!
Just a quick line to wish everyone all the very best for Sunday. Hope all the last minute injury problems clear themselves up and you have a great weekend.
I'm usually the one who is wheeled out on here with a cautionary note and if someone's already made the point I apologise. Paris is probably no worse than any other European city for pickpockets - I've done Barcelona this year and the same problem applies. I had my wallet taken from the front pocket of my jeans on the Metro in 2011 literally half an hour after arriving in Paris. I know other people on here have had similar problems. You just need to be vigilant at all times.
Anyway, I'm sure you'll have a ball. Maybe see you in 2015!
Morning All, seems to have been a few garmins packing up over the past few months. Must be the excessive mileage Have had my 220 for a few weeks now and very happy with it.
Sal, glad to see there's some light at the end of the tunnel.
Managed Bath Half on Sunday in less than a minute outside my PB from last year so pretty happy with that. Enjoyed not having to run long last weekend and looking forward to another relaxed Saturday. Probably won't do double figures.
Already out on Monday night celebrating (quietly) my son's 30th birthday and now he's persuaded me to drive down to Swindon on Tuesday night to support the mighty Wanderers. Oh well, may as well make the most of it while we're actually winning a few games.
Then it's down to Luton Thursday night for an early Easyjet flight Friday morning. So not much running next week!
