I'm running this on the Sunday only, so from Grantham to Cotgrave. Anyone on here doing this? I see people have done it in the past, but no gossip on it this year |

Is it the leisure centre at the top of the hill (down to the canal and pub)? If so, how can it be flat/undulating? |

Too many Pirates for a tripe talker like me. Great support and banter out on the course, too. TFN is the club with the black, yellow and white. Ceepo TFN RT are the Race team version, who wear stealthy looking kits and ride Bat Bikes. Lou Collins is in the RT. They are two seperate teams. Like Manchester Tri and TriCentral. JPenno - she were a bit old for my tastes  I don't think it's a good idea to finish a 100TT just 14 hours before the start of Bala, the hills tend to not like it. The swim was naff, bike was mediocre, cramped on the run, cue lots of screaming. Still, 2 minutes faster than last year (would've been about 7 had I not had to stretch in transition) So, where are the pictures? |

| Possibly doing this, though the times look slow from last year - is that anything to do with the snow? Or is it the same course as the Hearts First evening jog??? |

Goody bag was great! I like the skincare things, as they are expensive for the gym bag, so that was much appreciated! Could've done with a few more signs on the promenade, as we ended up walking the wrong way down. A bit annoyed there were no showers, but as I finished in 1:22, I got to wash myself with my free bottle of water in the ladies portaloos near registration whilst the OH stood guard
Dull course, but it was fast as you like. Wind wasn't really a problem, what was, were the people I ran with for the first 2 miles setting off at 6mm pace, then dying at mile 5. Those folks would've felt the wind more than a conservative pace strategy.
I managed a 6mm for the final mile, then for the final 0.1 mile, I ran that in 5:05 pace. Treat from 10 miles to the finish as a 5km race, then it becomes mentally easier, so I've found. |
